Yucatan is Elswhere takes as a point of departure the strategy of displacement that Robert Smithson developed in the 1960s. The exhibition presents a series of works that each in its own way constitutes a heterogeneous site of critical reflection and provokes the viewer into a moment of aesthetic activity that might be considered pedagogical.
Yucatan is Elsewhere is curated by Falke Pisano, graduate of the Utrecht School of the Arts, department of Fine Art.
